Sam Lyon is an established singer-songwriter from Cheshire, England. Responsible for her own success, Sam is an unsigned artist who prides herself on reaching her biggest achievements entirely independently.
Placing 2nd in the Best In Music Awards 2019, Sam's success is being recognised around the country, after also receiving the 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year' award in 2018 to reflect her impressive managerial skills. However, her award-winning successes began many years ago when she was awarded 'Performer of the Year' back in 2013, aged just 18.
Gigging since the tender age of 14, Lyon has a reputation of being a prolific performer, averaging 250-300 shows every year. Having recently supported several big names in music, including X Factor winner, Matt Cardle, and Miles Hunt from 80s rock Band, The Wonder Stuff, Sam has also completed three successful UK tours, with her latest tour boasting an impressive 24 dates with numerous sold out shows around the country.
However, it was John Delf, a renowned sound engineer who has worked with the likes of James Arthur, 5 Seconds of Summer, Kylie Minogue, and many more, who played the most crucial role in boosting Sam's music career. Recognising Sam's speedy success back when she was just a teenager, Delf approached Sam with an opportunity to record her debut album, and alongside Mark Winterburn, they went on to produce Sam’s entire discography, including three EPs and numerous singles, all of which have been picked up by BBC Introducing and various other radio stations, as well as gaining international attention.
Lyon soon discovered that her repertoire wasn't just successful on stage, but also on air. By the age of 22, Lyon had reached #1 on the Tradiio Global Charts, #1 on Round Sound Radio, a position she held for several weeks, and also received acknowledgement from various international radio stations and established UK stations such as BBC Introducing and BBC Stoke, with numerous requests for live interviews and performances.
In October 2018, in an attempt to exceed expectations and earn herself a bolder reputation, Sam recruited a small orchestra and choir to record two new singles, 'Until The Night Is Over' and 'Clear'. With accompanying videos shot in Chester Cathedral in a glamorous 'Post Modern Jukebox-style' setup, the first video reached an incredible 70,000 views within its first two weeks of release, with the second closely following suit.
Determined to show people the extent of her creative abilities, Sam returned to the studio a few months later, producing a brand new single in an entirely opposite fashion to her previous releases. 'It's A Beautiful Life' featured no live instrumentation, and was created entirely via synth instruments and electronic effects. Despite being vastly different from her preceding records, the track achieved an incredible response and was played on radios all across the globe, from Europe to Australia.
